Shattered was named a finalist in the Leadership in Workplace Psychosocial Safety category at the 2026 Mental Health Matters Awards on 25 September.

The four-part documentary asks what happens after workplace injury changes a life. It brings injured people, families, clinicians and others across the system into a conversation about care, recovery and shared responsibility.

The recognition places workplace psychological injury within a broader conversation about mental health and psychosocial safety. It also helps an independent documentary reach new audiences as screenings begin.

Thank you to WayAhead for recognising Shattered and for bringing people together through the Mental Health Matters Awards.

We are grateful to everyone who shared their experiences and expertise or supported the documentary through its three-year journey. We have taken care to acknowledge your contributions in the documentary credits.

It was especially lovely to have Sharni Sinclair and Rosemary McKenzie Ferguson with us at the ceremony. Sharni, a former criminal lawyer who sustained a psychological injury at work, opens each episode of Shattered by encouraging us to talk with our families, friends and colleagues about how we treat people injured at work. Her message invites us to think about how inclusion and belonging can support recovery. Rosemary is a longtime advocate for injured workers who helped guide many conversations and also appears in the series. Thank you both for being there.
